Crítica e investigadora teatral mexicana. Estudió Literatura Dramática y Teatro en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras ffyl de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México unam. Continuó su formación en el Núcleo de Estudios Teatrales net. Forma parte del Consejo Asesor de la Cátedra Bergman y conduce en el Teatro La Capilla sesiones del programa El Espectador Crítico y es editora del programa La Muestra Crítica, impulsado por el Instituto Goethe y la Coordinación Nacional de Teatro, programa que ha acompañado en las emisiones 2017 y 2018 a la Muestra Nacional de Teatro.
Ha sido becaria del Centro Mexicano de Escritores cem. Con 20 años de trayectoria, fue coeditora de las planas editoriales y del suplemento Enfoque del periódico Reforma. De 1997 a 2002, fue articulista en el mismo diario con dos columnas semanales en las secciones de Cultura y Gente. De 2006 a 2015, fue columnista del periódico Excélsior. Ha dictado conferencias y participado en mesas redondas sobre teatro y estudios culturales en Perú, Argentina, España, Colombia, Canadá y Alemania. Ha sido codirectora artística de la Muestra Nacional de Teatro México, miembro del consejo consultivo de la revista Paso de Gato, Teatro unam, la Coordinación Nacional de Teatro y la Cátedra Bergman. Ha sido curadora del Encuentro México, Puerto de las Américas. Ha sido jurado de muestras estatales de teatro en Veracruz, Ciudad de México, Chihuahua, Monterrey y Guadalajara así como invitada a foros sobre teatro y cultura en Perú, Canadá, Irlanda, Colombia, Argentina, Brasil, España, Alemania y México.
Autora de un estudio sobre cuatro décadas de historia viva de los Laboratorios de Teatro Campesino e Indígena y coautora de un libro. Obra suya forma parte de una antología nacional. Sus ensayos, entrevistas, críticas y reportajes se han publicado en las revistas El Ciudadano, ¡Siempre!, Paso de Gato, Nexos, Correo Escénico, Irish Theatre Magazine, Theater Der Zite, entre otros.
Fue codirectora artística del Encuentro México Puerta de las Américas y ha colaborado en numerosas ocasiones como jurado para certámenes nacionales e internacionales de dramaturgia, puesta en escena y ensayo teatral. También ha impartido talleres de crítica teatral e historia del teatro.
Mexican theatre critic and researcher. She studied Dramatic Literature and Theatre at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters (FFYL) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She continued her training at the Núcleo de Estudios Teatrales net. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Bergman Chair and conducts sessions of the El Espectador Crítico program at the Teatro La Capilla and is the editor of the La Muestra Crítica program, promoted by the Goethe Institute and the National Theatre Coordination, a program that she accompanied in the 2017 and 2018 broadcasts of the Muestra Nacional de Teatro.
She has been a fellow of the Mexican Center for Writers (CEM). With 20 years of experience, she was co-editor of the editorial pages and the Enfoque supplement of the newspaper Reforma. From 1997 to 2002, she was a columnist for the same newspaper with two weekly columns in the Culture and People sections. From 2006 to 2015, she was a columnist for the newspaper Excelsior. She has given lectures and participated in round tables on theater and cultural studies in Peru, Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Canada and Germany. She has been artistic co-director of the Muestra Nacional de Teatro México, a member of the advisory board of the magazine Paso de Gato, Teatro unam, the National Theater Coordination and the Bergman Chair. She has been curator of the Encuentro México, Puerto de las Américas. She has been a jury member for state theatre exhibitions in Veracruz, Mexico City, Chihuahua, Monterrey and Guadalajara, as well as invited to forums on theatre and culture in Peru, Canada, Ireland, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Germany and Mexico.
Author of a study on four decades of living history of the Peasant and Indigenous Theatre Laboratories and co-author of a book. Her work is part of a national anthology. Her essays, interviews, reviews and reports have been published in the magazines El Ciudadano, ¡Siempre!, Paso de Gato, Nexos, Correo Escénico, Irish Theatre Magazine, Theater Der Zite, among others.
She was co-artistic director of the Encuentro México Puerta de las Américas and has collaborated on numerous occasions as a jury member for national and international competitions in dramaturgy, staging and theatre essay. She has also taught workshops on theatre criticism and theatre history.
