Doctora en Literatura Hispánica por El Colegio de México. Profesora e investigadora de la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Iztapalapa. Miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores. Fue directora de la revista Signos Literarios (2006-2007) y presidenta de la Asociación Internacional de Teatro Español y Novohispano de los Siglos de Oro. (2013-2017). Codirectora de la revista Medievalia. Directora académica de la editorial Grupo Destiempos. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en la literatura medieval, retórica, poesía y teoría teatral.
