Ann Clare LeZotte is the author of the children’s books “T4: A Novel in Verse,” which Booklist called a “powerful debut”; and “Show Me a Sign” (Scholastic), which was named a best book of the year by NPR, Kirkus Reviews, School Library Journal, the New York Public Library, the Chicago Public Library and American Indians in Children’s Literature. LeZotte is Deaf, and her writing explores the challenges she and other Deaf and Hard of Hearing people face on a daily basis, attempting to challenge and redefine the societal definition of disability.
