Cathie Le Fèvre collaborated with her husband, Raymond James Wood Le Fèvre, on methods for measuring the orientation and polarisability of molecules. She encouraged women in science through her work for special programs, travelling scholarships and lectures.

Educated University College, London (DSc 1952). Teacher and microbiologist, collaborator with her husband, Raymond James Wood Le Fèvre. The first woman elected to the Council of the Australian Academy of Forensic Sciences, she was in the thick of debates on drug dependence and law enforcement. Correspondent for “The Lancet” for many years.
