Narradora y poeta argentina. Profesora en Letras por la Universidad de Buenos Aires uba. Ha publicado libros de minificción, poesía, cuentos, novelas y literatura infantil. Su obra, reconocida internacionalmente, ha sido traducida a varios idiomas.

Entre los numerosos premios que ha recibido destacan el primer Premio Estímulo del Fondo Nacional de las Artes 1967; el Premio en el Concurso Internacional de Editorial Losada 1980; la Beca Guggenheim; el Premio Konex – Diploma al Mérito 2004 Cuento Quinquenio 1999-2003; el Premio Esteban Echeverría 2014 otorgado por Gente de Letras a su trayectoria como narradora y el Premio Iberoamericano Juan José Arreola de Minificción.

Argentine writer and poet. Professor of Literature at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She has published books of microfiction, poetry, short stories, novels, and children’s literature. Her internationally acclaimed work has been translated into several languages.

Among the numerous awards she has received are the first Incentive Prize from the National Arts Fund 1967; the Prize in the Losada Publishing House International Competition 1980; the Guggenheim Fellowship; the Konex Award – Diploma of Merit 2004 Short Story Quinquennium 1999-2003; the Esteban Echeverría Prize 2014 awarded by Gente de Letras for her career as a narrator and the Juan José Arreola Ibero-American Prize for Microfiction.
