Another engineer from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in the same field is Engr. Linda A. Nnodi, BEng, MEng, MNSE (b. 1970), currently Assistant Chief Research Engineer heading the Surface Treatment Unit of Scientific Equipment Development Institute Enugu. With similar interests Engr.Dr. Francisca Unoma Nwafulugo, was chief instructor in chemical engineering and international expert in water treatment and monitoring. In 2020 she became the first female Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, in the south east of Nigeria with the immediate challenge of having to get 62 courses accredited or risk having them closed down. Her success in this led to her being awarded the Anambra State Woman of the Year (previously always awarded to a man).
