Ruta Sepetys is an internationally-acclaimed bestselling author of historical fiction published in over 60 countries and 40 languages. Sepetys’ books are read by both young adults and adults worldwide, and she is known for giving voice to underrepresented history and those who experienced it. She has received a Carnegie Medal and her books have won or been shortlisted for over 40 book prizes, are included on over 30 state reading lists, and are currently in development for film and television. Her most recent book, “You: The Story: A Writer’s Guide to Craft Through Memory,” will be featured at the 2023 National Book Festival.
