Nació en la Ciudad de México, el 10 de abril de 1915; muere el 13 de octubre de 2013. Ensayista, poeta, dramaturga y antóloga. Estudió en la Escuela Nacional de Maestros y en la Normal Superior. Fue profesora de Literatura Mexicana en el ipn; fundadora de Vórtice. Premio Nacional de Poesía Enrique González Martínez 1970. Premio del Certamen Literario 1975 de Champotón, Campeche. Premio Nacional de Teatro Histórico inba-Estado de México 1985. Premio de Escritores Oaxaqueños 1992. Medalla Juan de Dios Batis por sus 30 años de docencia.
She was born in Mexico City on April 10, 1915, and died on October 13, 2013. An essayist, poet, playwright, and anthologist, she studied at the National Teachers’ College and the Higher Normal School. She was a professor of Mexican Literature at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and a founder of the literary journal Vórtice. She received the Enrique González Martínez National Poetry Prize in 1970, the Champotón, Campeche Literary Contest Prize in 1975, the National Historical Theater Prize from the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA) in the State of Mexico in 1985, the Oaxaca Writers’ Prize in 1992, and the Juan de Dios Batis Medal for her 30 years of teaching.
