Comenzó su carrera periodística escribiendo para El Imparcial y España, una de las revistas culturales de mayor prestigio en la década de los 20. Más tarde también colaboró en Estampa, El Liberal, La Tribuna, Heraldo de Madrid, Informaciones, y Blanco y Negro. Firmaba sus artículos como Magda Donato.
Posteriormente incursionó en el ámbito teatral. Junto con su esposo, Salvador Bartolozzi, escribió numerosas obras de teatro infantil y participó en puestas en escena.
Debido a la Guerra Civil Española, llegó a México en 1941, donde continuó con su carrera como actriz, participando en diversas series de televisión, largometrajes y obras de teatro.

She began her journalistic career writing for El Imparcial and España, one of the most prestigious cultural magazines of the 1920s. Later, she also contributed to Estampa, El Liberal, La Tribuna, Heraldo de Madrid, Informaciones, and Blanco y Negro. She signed her articles as Magda Donato.
She later ventured into the world of theater. Together with her husband, Salvador Bartolozzi, she wrote numerous children’s plays and participated in stage productions.
Due to the Spanish Civil War, she arrived in Mexico in 1941, where she continued her acting career, participating in various television series, feature films and plays.
