Nació en la Ciudad de México, el 3 de febrero de 1948. Dramaturga, docente y narradora. Estudió Lengua y Literatura Españolas en la ENS; en la Escuela de Escritores de la SOGEM; y en el taller de Hugo Argüelles. Ha sido coordinadora de actividades académicas de la Casa de la Cultura del Maestro Mexicano; profesora de Creación Dramática en la SOGEM; y de la Maestría en Creación Literaria; Creación Dramática y Apreciación de las Artes Escénicas, del Centro Cultural Casa Lamm; investigadora del Centro de Investigación para la Calidad y el Éxito Educativo. Directora y fundadora de la Compañía Independiente de Dramaturgos, Actores y Literatos, AC. Integrante de la Comisión Dictaminadora de Teatro de la SOGEM. Se han montado sus obras: Nomás que salgamos (1988), Coreografía (estrenada con el título Cuarteto con disfraz y serpentina; 1993), Escaleno (1995), Humor de amor (1999), El efecto mariposa (2001), El conjuro (2004), Aristéminis en cité (2004), Las peores (2017), Entre ortigas (2018; 2020) y La isla de las sirenas fact (2020). Algunas de ellas se han montado en Francia, Cuba, España e Inglaterra. Parte de su obra ha sido antologada en diversas publicaciones nacionales. Primer lugar del Premio de Cuento Mexicano y Chicano, Culturas en Contacto 1988, que otorgan El Colegio de México, El Colegio de la Frontera Norte y el INBA. Primer lugar del IV Concurso Nacional de Escritores de Teatro de la SOGEM 1992 por Coreografía.
Born in Mexico City on February 3, 1948, she is a playwright, teacher, and storyteller. She studied Spanish Language and Literature at the ENS; at the SOGEM Writers’ School; and at Hugo Argüelles’ workshop. She has been the coordinator of academic activities at the Casa de la Cultura del Maestro Mexicano; professor of Dramatic Creation at SOGEM; and of the Master’s in Literary Creation; Dramatic Creation and Appreciation of the Performing Arts, at the Casa Lamm Cultural Center; researcher at the Center for Research on Educational Quality and Success. Director and founder of the Independent Company of Playwrights, Actors and Writers, AC. Member of the SOGEM Theater Judging Committee. Her works have been staged: Nomás que salirmos (1988), Coreografía (premiered under the title Cuarteto con disfraz y serpentina; 1993), Escaleno (1995), Humor de amor (1999), El Efecto Mariposa (2001), El conjuro (2004), Aristéminis en cité (2004), Las peors (2017), Entre ortigas (2018; 2020) and La isla de las sirenas fact (2020). Some of them have been staged in France, Cuba, Spain and England. Part of her work has been anthologized in various national publications. First place in the Mexican and Chicano Short Story Award, Culturas en Contacto 1988, awarded by El Colegio de México, El Colegio de la Frontera Norte and the INBA. First place in the IV National Competition of Theater Writers of the SOGEM 1992 for Choreography.
