Hatice has been an active volunteer and board member at North Richmond Community Health* and an active community member of the North Richmond Precinct Governance Safety Group. She is a long-time unofficial liaison person for the local Housing Office, a volunteer for numerous community groups and a qualified electrician.
Hatice is a very committed and active member of her community, be it at high level departmental and board meetings, serving traditional Turkish coffee and wisdom during many activities and events, or knitting jumpers for newborn babies in community.
Hatice is a champion for all, especially women and seniors living in public housing.
