Kathleen Parlow, a British violinist, born at Calgary, Canada. She received her first musical instruction at San Francisco from Holmes, an English Violinist. Her progress was so rapid that in 1905 he took her to London and exhibited her as a prodigy. Later she studied with Auer in St. Petersburg, and made her début as an artist in the Russian capital in 1908. Her success was overwhelming.
