Lillian Massey Treble, a Canadian philanthropist, daughter of H.A. Massey, wife of John Mill Treble. She organized classes in domestic science which led to the adoption of a complete curriculum in household science in various women’s colleges throughout Canada.
She gave to Toronto University a handsome and commodious structure called the Lillian Massey Household Science and Art Building, opened in 1913.
In addition to numerous benefactions in her lifetime she bequeathed the greater part of a large fortune to charitable institutions.
