Nació en Villa Ocampo, Durango, el 7 de noviembre de 1900; muere en Progreso de Obregón, Hidalgo, el 9 de julio de 1986. Dirigió la Escuela Nacional de Danza; fue bailarina, coreógrafa e investigadora de danzas autóctonas, creadora del Ballet de la Ciudad de México. Su obra literaria retrata pasajes de la revolución mexicana. Colaboró en El Gráfico.

She was born in Villa Ocampo, Durango, on November 7, 1900; she died in Progreso de Obregón, Hidalgo, on July 9, 1986. She directed the National School of Dance; she was a dancer, choreographer, and researcher of indigenous dances, and the creator of the Ballet of Mexico City. Her literary work portrays episodes of the Mexican Revolution. She contributed to El Gráfico.
