Nuar Alsadir, a poet and psychoanalyst, is the author of “Fourth Person Singular,” which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Poetry and the Forward Prize for Best Collection. She lives in New York City. Featured at the 2022 National Book Festival, Alsadir’s debut in prose, “Animal Joy: A Book of Laughter and Resuscitation,” explores laughter, poetry and personal experience in pursuit of being more present and connected to one’s true self.
