Amongst today’s Frenchwomen in chemical engineering, Suzanne Mathieu was educated at the Ecole Européenne de Chimie Polymères et matériaux de Strasbourg and went to work in the male-majority steel industry (Usinor) developing anti-corrosion solutions for the automobile industry. More recently she has worked promoting engineering careers to girls, on behalf of l’Association Femmes Ingénieures.
